Cory comes to Yost Farm from Greenwald, MN. He is co-manager and a partner in Swift Pumping, a manure pumping business affiliated with the farm. He plants in the spring, applies pesticides in the summer and helps keep the shop organized in his spare time. Cory is a graduate of South Dakota State University.
Anthony is a Washington state native who began working at Yost Farm in 2016. He is co-manager and a partner in Swift Pumping. He has a variety of roles on the farm and is becoming more involved in sugar beet production this year. Anthony is a South Dakota State University graduate and has joined the Murdock Fire Department.
David grew up in Clara City, MN and came to Yost Farm in 2010. He coordinates the trucking and is responsible for the grain system in the fall. He also does invoicing and record keeping, which includes a lead role in administrating the Granular operating platform we use to run the farm. A South Dakota State University graduate, David is a partner in CY Harvesting and is president of the Swift County Farm Bureau.
James grew up in west central Minnesota and joined Yost Farm in 2018. He is an experienced millwright and a skilled metal fabricator. James is the farm’s “mister fix it.” When he is not in the shop, he does tillage in the spring and keeps the grain cart operating during harvest.
Adam started at Yost Farm in 2020 and is a Blackduck, MN native. He has many years of over the road truck driving experience. He hauls feed ingredients to the Riverview dairy sites from processing plants in Minnesota and North Dakota.
Bennett is part of a father-son trucker driving team at Yost Farm. He drives a tri-axle live bottom truck hauling by products from ethanol and corn processing plants to the Riverview dairy sites. Bennett occasionally hauls loads of separated solids from the Riverview sites to other dairies and retail nurseries in the Twin Cities.
Jeff, along with son Bennett, joined Yost Farm in 2009. Jeff runs a tri-axle live bottom truck hauling feed ingredients from several processing plants in Minnesota and North Dakota. Jeff grew up close to the farm near Kerkhoven, MN and is a partner in CY Harvesting.
Matt is a Redwood County native and started at Yost Farm in 2010. He has a lead role in coordinating the repair work on the farm and for CY Harvesting. Matt is a talented operator who helps train new team members on how to operate the different types of equipment. He is a partner in CY Harvesting, a graduate of Ridgewater College and Deputy Chief of the Pennock Fire Department.
Chad joined Yost Farm in 2020 after years of operating his own farm. He has a wealth of production agriculture experience and has been a mentor to several of our team members. Chad is another local from Chippewa County. He is a North Dakota State University graduate who is on the Boondocks Rescue Squad.
Jim is the farm’s operations manager who joined us in 2019. He grew up in Milbank, SD and is a rural Kandiyohi County resident. He has years of experience in retail ag and with the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative. Jim coordinates all the activities on the farm with a special emphasis on sugar beet production.
John grew up near Benson, MN and currently lives next door to Yost Farm. He drives tri-axle hopper bottom trucks hauling feed ingredients from area processing plants to the Riverview dairy sites. John and his wife Katie raise goats on their farm which they sell to 4H participants.
Nick grew up in Rogers, MN and joined Yost Farm in 2019. He is a quick study who does a wide variety of jobs from running the backhoe to the combine. He also drives truck in silage harvest and delivers feed ingredients to the Riverview dairy sites. Nick is a graduate of Ridgewater College.
Aaron came to Yost Farm in 2012. He coordinates the alfalfa planting in the spring and alfalfa cutting throughout the summer. During the fall he operates a forage harvester for CY Harvesting, helps with the Swift Pumping crew and fills in at the farm. Aaron does photography and videography for the farm and CY Harvesting. He is a graduate of Ridgewater College and member of the Raymond Ambulance Squad.
